1. Team Composition

• Each team may register up to 12 riders for the series. Registration has to be done for the series starts, halfway the series there is a ‘transfer window’
• For each race, teams must roster maximum 6 riders.
• Teams best include a mix of rider types (sprinters, climbers, breakaway specialists, etc.) to adapt to varied routes.
• Teams should be balanced. Categorisation is done via the vELO system of zwiftracing.app. The spread of classes is maximum 3. Based on the total power of the team it will be divided into one of 5 categories:
  • 🏆Watt Women Worldwide: celebrating global female power
  • 🥇Watt World Tour: Elite global teams with top-tier coordination and power
    • total vELO of the roster > 12.500
  • 🥈Continental Draft Division: Strong squads with sharp tactics and tight teamwork
    • total vELO of the roster between 10.000 and 12.500
  • 🥉Local Legends League: Community-driven teams with grit, loyalty and clever racecraft
    • total vELO of the roster between 7.500 and 10.000
  • 🟤Coffee Ride Championship: Grassroots teams focused on fun, growth and good vibes
    • total vELO of the roster < 7.500
• Teams should be recognisable as a team in game, which means matching jerseys and name tags. Name tags should be short enough so that in combination with rider names they are visible in game. References to the old classic racing in team names is well appreciated.

3. Scoring System

A. Team Result Points

• Each team scores points based on the best-placed rider in the race.
• Points follow a descending scale 20 to 1 for the first 20 riders, only 1 rider can score finishing points per team. So if your 1st rider finishes 1st and 2nd rider finishes 3rd for example, you only get 20 points and the 18 points are forfaited.
• Each team member finishing within X minutes of the race winner earns bonus points:
  • Within 10% of finishers time: +5 pts
  • Within 15% of finishers time: +3 pts
  • Within 20% of finishers time: +1 pts
• Multiplier: Per cat the rider is lower than the winner of the race, their bonus is multiplied by 1.5 to reward domestique efforts. For DNF’s the multiplier is set to 1, no mather the category.
• A few intermediate sprint and climb points, FAL to reward break aways (3, 2, 1p)
• 2 points penalty per DNF/DNS rider

C. Individual ‘Domestique Points’

• After each race the participating riders get their individual domestique points which are calculated as follows:

  • Team Result Points/7 - max(0, 10-finish position)

    this formula tries to exclude your own result if you go off the front alone and drop the rest of your team

  • Add 10 points if you won from the lottery break away (see section 3: break aways)

3. Breakaway System – “Satelite Rider or Team Revelation?”

To simulate real-world breakaways and tactical racing:

• For each stage, 50% of teams will have one non-leader (lowest cat) rider, or drawn from the lowest 66% vELO from that team, randomly selected to start with a head start depending on the course (e.g., 1–2 minutes).
• Breakaway riders must be non-top-3 finishers from their team in the previous race.
